Hi there, I’m Richard Dalton, proprietor of Richard Dalton’s garage here in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

We are a family run garage that has been looking after vehicles in the area since 1987, with a wealth of knowledge at our disposal and some of the most qualified and dedicated mechanics, technicians, office staff and of course our resident garage dog Spa.

We are a family garage that aims to be your family garage, and as our slogan says: “A garage you’ll be happy to recommend”.

We service, MOT and repair most makes and models of modern vehicle and also specialise in classic car repair & restoration as well as having a dedicated motorhome service centre offering full habitation servicing and safely checks.

Audley Service Station

In 1987 our local village garage approached us and as a result we enjoyed twenty happy years at Audley Service Station, which was the home of our garage until 2007.

We built up a large client base in the area and were well known and respected in the local community, indeed many customers have been with us now for over twenty years.

We ran a small but dedicated staff in Audley consisting of myself (Richard), my wife Suzanne who is our Office Manager and two very experienced mechanics, Jonathan Winfield (JT) and Mark Stanier (Stan).

Sadly as our client base grew rapidly our premises in Audley became inadequate and we began the search for newer premises nearby…

The Move to Holditch Garage

In March 2007 we agreed to purchase the long running and well established Alfred Evans Garage (aka Holditch Garage) in Chesterton.

The garage was ideal for our needs, giving us a massive amount of space allowing us to accommodate large amounts of specialist equipment and on-site MOT facilities.

However our new premises required radical modernisation which included creating an open plan office area and renewing the majority of equipment on site.

Richard Daltons Now

We now have a large, fully equipped facility catering to a very wide range of automotive needs, as well as our large workshops and advanced equipment, we also have a dedicated MOT centre and motor-home service centre on-site.

Our Staff has expanded to include MOT testers, automotive technicians and  motorhome habitation and servicing specialists to name a few.

We can offer a huge array of services for a large variety of vehicles from classic car restorations to minibus safety inspections.

We continue to strive to produce a happy and loyal customer base who not only return to us year after year, but are happy to recommend us.
